Created in 2020 out of the merger of Galerie Division (founded in 2010) and Galerie René Blouin (founded in 1986), Blouin Division is one of the most important commercial galleries in Canada. With the mission of promoting the careers of critical Canadian contemporary artists and disseminating their work to an international audience, the gallery works with 44 artists and showcases their talent in its locations in Montreal and Toronto, as well as in New York City through its association with Arsenal Contemporary Art, in addition to participating in multiple international fairs every year.
Blouin Division has placed the work of its artists in some of the most important institutional and corporate collections in Canada, including those of the National Gallery of Canada, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, RBC Bank, TD Bank, Hydro-Québec, and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Recent exhibitions of particular note include those of Geneviève Cadieux (Wild is the Wind – Montreal, September 12th to October 22nd, 2024); Wanda Koop (Flowers for Sonny Boy – Montreal, May 16th to June 29th, 2024); Pierre Dorion (Montreal, September 15th to November 4th, 2023); Karel Funk (Montreal, March 16th to May 13th, 2023); Tammi Campbell (On View - Montreal, September 6th to October 29th, 2022); Chloe Wise (In Loveliness of Perfect Deeds – Montreal, May 28th to July 9th, 2022); and Caroline Monnet (Echoes from a Near Future – Toronto, September 16th to October 15th, 2022).
